What is Turtle Moon?
Turtle Moon is a tiny lunar universe you can wear.
Each collection is inspired by one of the Full Moons—Wolf Moon, Harvest Moon, Flower Moon, Strawberry, Buck, Beaver, Cold, Blue, and beyond.
Every Moon has its own story. Its own season. Its own energy and meaning.
Some Moons speak to courage.
Some remind us to protect our peace.
Some are about joy, focus, rest, growth, receiving, or finally becoming the person we’ve been quietly growing into.
And sometimes, you just really love the color.
That counts too.
Turtle Moon gives you a way to connect with the Moon and carry a little piece of its meaning with you.
Every Full Moon has a meaning.
And there may be a different one that speaks to you depending on the moment.
How it started
Turtle Moon was born at a workbench, not a boardroom.
I’m Allison, the founder and designer behind Turtle Moon.
I started making jewelry during one of the hardest chapters of my life—after deep loss, heartbreak, and a pretty complete unraveling of the version of life I thought I was supposed to have.
Making jewelry gave me something steady to return to. It quieted my mind, gave shape to my days, and little by little, helped me imagine a life beyond the one I had lost.
One bead, one small act of creation at a time, I started building something new.
I had also grown up with a deep connection to the natural world, and with teachings that paid attention to the Earth, the seasons, and the Moon as ways of marking time and change.
The Moon was never just a pretty thing in the sky.
She was Grandmother Moon.
She marked where we were in time. What was happening in the natural world. What was growing, changing, resting, or beginning again.
So when I began designing jewelry, it felt natural to follow the Moons.
And slowly, a very small idea—what if you could carry a Moon’s meaning with you?—became Turtle Moon.
Why the Full Moons?
Most calendars tell you what day it is.
The Moon has always given us another way to notice where we are.
The seasons are changing.
The light is changing.
Things are growing, resting, ripening, shedding, beginning again.
And we do a lot of those things too.
Each Turtle Moon collection takes the story and seasonal significance of a Full Moon and translates it into color, stone, texture, and jewelry.
Not because putting on a bracelet is going to magically change your life.
But because being reminded of what you need can change the way you walk into your day.
I know that because I do it myself.
I wear my Moons almost every day, and I don’t always choose the same one.
If I’m heading into a high-stakes meeting and I need confidence?
Buck Moon — SHINE.
If I know I’m walking into a complicated situation and need to protect my peace?
Beaver Moon — PROTECT.
Going to a concert and I want the night to feel fun and completely alive?
Strawberry Moon — JOY.
And when I’m in one of those strange seasons where I can feel a new version of myself emerging before I can fully see her?
Blue Moon — BECOME.
Sometimes that tiny moment of choosing is enough.

Why “Turtle Moon”?
The turtle represents something steady.

The Moon is always changing—waxing, waning, disappearing, returning.
Turtle Moon lives somewhere between the two.

Being grounded while still becoming.
Moving forward without believing everything has to happen all at once.
It’s a reminder that:

And becoming someone new doesn’t mean losing who you were before.
Meet the Founder
Hi. I’m Allison.
I’m a jewelry designer, mom, nature nerd, feelings-haver, and the person who has probably spent far too much time thinking about the emotional significance of a bracelet.
I run Turtle Moon in our retail shops here in southeastern Connecticut, and I still get excited when somebody discovers the collection, reads the meaning of a Moon, and immediately connects with one.
That’s the part I love.
Sometimes people choose a Moon because they’re rebuilding their life.
Sometimes they’re celebrating something.
Sometimes they’re healing from a hard season.
Sometimes they’re buying for someone they love.
And sometimes they walk in because they thought a bracelet was pretty and then discovered that the meaning happened to be exactly what they needed.
Ordinary jewelry on its own may not have the power to change us, but meaningful jewelry just might.
The things we surround ourselves with can remind us of something important.
Who we are.
What we’ve survived.
What we’re choosing.
What we’re ready for.
Or who we’re becoming next.
That’s what I hope Turtle Moon gets to be for you.
